In the spring of 2012 was invited to plan and facilitate a workshop for handpicked writers, illustrators and app developers by the largest publisher in Denmark, Gyldendal:
The future of children’s litterature
The goal was to kick off a whole new series of original IP created especially for interactive media like tablets and smartphones. 40 creative experts participated in a 1 day workshop with intense idea development in cross competence teams.
1 month later there was a deadline for handing in more elaborated proposals.
67 proposals was submitted and the winner of the production funding for the concepts was annonced to be:
Freddy alene hjemme (Freddy, home alone) by illustrator Mads Salicath and writer Michael Valeur.
I’m sure our big national icon of storytelling for kids, H.C. Andersen, would be very impressed with his Danish peers in 2012.
